Set the text size to suit your viewing preferences.
Intelliprompter offers two scrolling modes:
Standard scrolling scrolls the text at a constant speed.
Autoscrolling uses your microphone to listen to your speech. Scroll speed is adjusted dynamically as you talk, and words are highlighted.
NOTE: Autoscrolling is convenient but it has limitations. Intelliprompter will try to jump back in where you left of if you go off-script, and it will try to find your jump-back-in point if you decide to skip a few lines, but it can be thrown off by poor audio quality, unusual pronunciation, foreign accents, and sun spots.
Autoscrolling is available in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.
Want to control your scroll speed with precision? Intelliprompter will respond to most slide remotes!
The speed slider adjusts scroll speed when using standard scroll mode.
If you are using Intelliprompter on a tablet or phone inside a physical, mirrored teleprompter, you can use the rotate text button to flip the text upside down and the mirror text button to flip the text horizontally.
The Auto button initiates autoscrolling mode. It will ask for permission to access your computer’s microphophone.
As you speak in autoscroll mode, your talking speed will be displayed in WPM (Words per Minute).
Click the Play button to initiate standard scrolling. The Play button will turn into a Pause button you can use to stop the scrolling. Or use your space bar to toggle scrolling on and off.
The Trash icon will clear all text from the teleprompter.
The Export Speech button will export the text in your teleprompter along with speed, color, and other settings as a .JSON file. (This is just text. You can open and edit it with any text editor.) Use the file upload button on the left side of the toolbar to restore a saved speech.
The Break Lines button breaks written prose into short lines more suitable to speaking. Watch the impact this feature has on your phrasing!
The Help button loads this help window. But you already knew that, didn’t you?
