Aphorism

An Aphorism is a pithy observation that contains a general truth, such as, ‘Actions speak louder than words.’ These short, memorable lines pack a punch, encapsulating wisdom in a nutshell.

Aphorisms are fantastic tools in public speaking and storytelling because they convey complex ideas succinctly and persuasively.

Benjamin Franklin’s, ‘A penny saved is a penny earned,’ teaches financial prudence in just a few words.

Aphorisms you invent can become important elements of your own, unique speaking style.

Does public speaking make you nervous? Stop worrying about yourself and think about the value you’ll deliver to your audience.

And here’s my aphorism: Turn nervous into service.

Have you heard speakers go on and on about themselves? “I did this and then I did that.”

Those speakers need to “Get rid of their “I” infection.”

What memorable, useful aphorisms can you come up with that will gift wrap your ideas and differentiate you as a speaker?
